I have Kaspersky Internet Security and need to know if windows defender can be left on (I turned of windows?

firewall) Also what other programs can I keep? I have IObit advanced system care 3, PC tools registry mechanic (starts when you start the computer) CCleaner and web of trust. The only 2 I think run all the time are Kaspersky and PC tools registry cleaner. Right now I have windows defender off. I have tried reading forums but can’t seem to find the answers. I have no clue on how Kaspersky works but it seems confusing. I wish there was a warning or list that would tell me if i can have these other programs. It did warn me not to load malware bites???
I noticed a whole bunch of other programs the I still have on my computer. How do I know what I NEED to keep?
also what other maintainence/security programs are ok? Is there a website that tells you what programs are compatable?

Computer registry problem? Ccleaner…..

I was on ccleaner and i accidently pressed Cleanup REGISTRY instead of the normal cleanup cookies, history etc. And i restarted my computer and EVERYTHING was gone(im retarded i knowww). pictures, apps, everything. And even the photos you get from Windows wont work for the desktop backround. Is there anyway of getting any it back or anything i was just wondering..

hi all,
ive just performed the registry cleanup using ccleaner.
i hesitated alot before doing it out of fear of messing anything up. now its done, but i wanted to know if theres a way to check if theres anything thats out of wack now ?
i dont know if theres any constellation but when i was done watching a video on yahoo about some news coverage of the debate yesterday it kept on playing after i closed it. there was no image, i was back at the yahoo home page but you could hear the next video clip playing. any tohughts as to why or if it might be related to the ccleaner ?
any way to check to make sure everythings okay ?
